"Your Hero"I put a lot of effort into what I might say
But I never really thought today would be the day
I’m picking up the pieces of an ordinary life
Trying to assemble the way it was before the strife
You have my hope strung high and fear held down
Somewhere inside of me I’m safe and sound
I don’t know why I feel I can open my mind
Maybe I’m in love and it’s making me blind
Two weeks too long, two weeks same song
Replaying over and over the emotion’s so strong
I keep putting them off but they come back around
Somehow you inspire me to lift me off the ground
A dirt poor memory given a dream is dreaming
What else can you do to give my world some meaning
Drops from the waterfall seem to come alive
I don’t know how but I’m watching smiles revive
I’ve ended the misery and brought in company
Shut out my pride and forgave my enemy
You reached for me and I held out my hand

Kissing away the sharp pain within your heart
