Description Hi all.

Sorry I haven't been posting as much lately. I got diagnosed with depression yesterday, but it was a huge load off my mind, so I'm not upset. I'm not on meds yet--waiting to be further evaluated. Here's hoping, friends.

Not much to say beyond that, besides: here's to starting on the road to recovery.

Tools used: Apophysis 2.05 beta 2 z+ c+ r5 by *cyberxaos , Photoshop for resize, sharpening, frame, and text ONLY.

Great one! It somehow makes me think it could be the love child of a fern and a swarm of magical glowing butterflies. I really like the way the colors flow with the shapes.

I can see how it'd be easy to get depressed when you study philosophy exclusively.

Re: the fractal, the more I look at it, the more I'm inclined to agree with you. I think I might redo this one. The colors turned out great, and the shape really looks good further up, but lower down, it gets too close. Thanks for the concrit.

What quality is this?! It looks like 6000 or more! Or is it just denoised, if I may ask?
Great piece, as always! I cant stop looking at the more cumulated part, where the whole turns yellowish and gains that painterly glow.

No, it's actually a nice combination that I've figured out:

2000 quality
1.4 filter radius
4800x6000 original size
Then sized down and sharpened.

The filter radius makes sure that not too much noise makes it through, but if you don't size it down, it looks weird. The 2000 quality makes sure it gets enough detail for the size-down and sharpen to work well.

It didn't take any longer to render . . . in fact, it took less time. Which is good for me, because my computer takes forever anyway.
