shes sad coz she knows shes got to let go but she cant help but stay, like a bad habit refusing to die hard.
sometimes the hardest thing is giving in to failure and letting go, but being the stubborn mule, satying and digging further at the empty echoes. the stories with the sad endings are the only remembered ones.

this is absolutely stunning, beautiful sad and pathetic at the same time.
technically is great. so much in it. i dunno, maybe the writing shouldnt be so out there, it take abit away from the face. doesnt matter, its great anyway.

reminds me of silent films, like the cabinet of caligari.

There is such a sense of sadness and desperation in this piece. Such powerful imagery you have created. I think it's an amazing photograph. I love how it looks like a grungy, dirty, old poloroid too.
Anyway, I love it and I think it's beatiful and very well done, and I'm going to +fav it and then add you to my devwatch hehe.

Very cool photo. Great job. Hmmm you may want to make the text brownish in color and then blur it slightly, making the layery color bur. It would look more like the text is on the polaroid and that it's old. Great work though.

Wow lesa, mmmm....this one tastes very nice! ~merijn hit squarely on what i feel...drowning under ice....

....and the 'whole feel' for me is like that of a retro polaroid you find in a drawer ...all old and beat up....and that's why i like the typography and framing so much....

Remember the family polaroids that have writting on the front to remember what/where/why it was taken? That's why like it so much....

Great job, sweetheart!

I like the real dark sepia tones too, though I think it always looks good.

I am so sick and tired of DAs edit feature not working!!! WTF?? Anyway- the font has been changed- was changed not too long after it was posted to a more worn, faded look. And some have been wondering about the process for this one so I thought I would post that here too. There is a photo by me and a background photo as indicated above- I only added the sepia color and messed with a filter to get the darker feel. Other than that nothing else was done- I loved the original photo and didnt want to mess with that too much.

So anyway~ the font IS different on the final regardless of what DAs shitty system wants to show and the photo was taken by me, of me, and not manip-ed except with 1 filter and layer style.

Thanks for looking and all the great comments!

Hey, lady don't you ever stop bringing pics. This one is awesome. THe texture's great, here. The whole thing's so subtle. Just one thing....may I?
The typo isn't needed here. But I add it to my favs anyway, if you don't mind

This is a very good piece of art. It does do something with you.
To be honest I don't think that I would like to hang it on my wall. It scares me in some kind of way. But that doesn't mean that it isn't a great creation.
Well done!

I dont at all find this the same as other grungy pieces. There is something more to this, a sense of sadness, desperation. A lost sould trapped just at the edge where she can see whats better, but its always just out of reach.

Okay I got carried away
I like it!

It's extremely well executed, it looks very authentic, but the ideas I see here are no different from those in the typical average grungy pieces, so I don't find it as refreshing as your other works. But I still like it.

slipping into a primordial, huge spirit-god's mind, taking on its form and taking on its body, i'm scared of this world despite my ancient power, for i feel that i am diminishing under the crushing weight of technology and of blind fantaticism devoted to some new powers, i burst into tears and you come to me and lean and lay onto and into my eye and it grows to behold you in full, and you take my sorrow away but as there was nothing really left of me my body dies, and in this final moment i realize that i'm not one with this body, with this god, i slip out of it, leaving you there with the corpse and with the sadness you took from it, knowing that from now on it lives on in you, but not sure whether you and this image lives, in turn, on in me only...
