This is the updated PSD template for the DeviantArt Eclipse Profile Banner Background Art that I created and tested myself on my own profile page.

I created this template to help fix some issues from those who have used my previous PSD template for a baseline on their banner artwork. Also, the description below is a revision of my previous templates. So if you've seen my other templates already, you can stop reading here.

This template was originally made for Google Chrome settings. The accuracy of some guides may be off for other internet browsers software.

DeviantArt states that the ideal banner size is 1600px x 800px, but this will always have a bleed zone in it. But this is if you zoom out your browser view window to its minimum setting. Ideally, no one views their own browser from anything besides 100%. To also clarify, the minimum size for the eclipse banner size is 1024x630 (via #piggies-go-moo ).

My template file size/dimensions are 1280px X 760px; this is a comfortable canvas size for me and I think it works a little better than the ideal size as stated before, but I will need to continue testing to determine which is better for sure. If you prefer a larger canvas size, that's fine. You can simply center the template to your canvas and use digital layers to hide the template behind your artwork before fine-tuning it.

The startup safe zone area of 1280px X 475px which is represented by the Green and Grey zones in the template. This is based on Google Chrome's setting for 100% Zoom. Zooming out (less than 100%) will reveal the Yellow Zone.

The trim zone area of the template is represented by the Red zone. This is from the bottom of the banner and goes up the Yellow and Grey zones. This will always be trimmed off/cut away from your banner regardless of size. It is best to make this area an accent color block (black/white or other) that you will notice during fine-tuning. Then extend your background down to cover this area in the post-production phase (don't put relevant info in this area).

The navigation bar with the profile information is represented by the Grey Zone in the template. This hovers over your banner artwork, so when planning your profile banner keep this in mind for relevant information your sharing.
