"Slow down, Nahja!" called Steris, as she suddenly hurried towards the Prince and him out of fright. "You come closer to me as well, Prince. They will have to get through me first if they want either of you."
Amenek-Ra waited until Nahja was directly before Steris and then threw a handful of sharp, pointed crystals with pullet-like speed at her back. Nahja's father screamed and Steris pulled her aside, leaving himself open. Everyone stood in shock as Steris gave in to the force behind the crystals and fell to the ground. Nahja scrambled to his side and stared with tears at the impaled objects. Steris' head fell towards her.
"Stop... c-crying..."

Surrounded by enemies, this is a rather surprising scene between two characters in the life of Prince Kalif, who is present and staring as anybody good or bad would. Steris is a loner, selfish and none caring... so it comes to everyone as surprise when he does what he does.
