Description
This is my second year animation that I produced at the University of Hertfordshire, England. It follows the adventures of a young girl who imagines herself flying amongst and manipulating the clouds in the sky.Although the animation is not as finished as I'd have liked and I had to cut a scene out to meet the deadline I feel like I've learnt a lot throughout its development. Enjoy!

My personal favorite moment. Seems to find a happy medium between power (I mean, c'mon. If you've got a big cloud fist obeying you, you're powerful) and childish imaginings and delusions of power. "I can do anything. Watch me." And then she really does. And it's just so darn cute.

I enjoyed this short film so much. The animation was just so smooth and brilliant. I haven't seen anything like this in a long time.

That was awesome! Please can you tell me how long that took...and seeing as animation's one of those things I wanna do as a career, could you also tell me how hard it is to learn? ...I can already do a little.

The whole project took about 5 months to complete in total but I had other stuff going on at the same time as well. Animation takes a LOT of dedication, it's not hard to learn and if you love drawing then it should come naturally. You're still very young, I would suggest just drawing as much as you can and no doubt you'll get progressively awesome.

I loved this the type of animation was perfect for this almost like a children's imagination. The animation was so smooth and flowed as if I was seeing it with my own eyes. The actual story was cute but really great, with the final comedic relief perfectly put. This is why they added video to DeviantART.

The shadows seem a bit off here and in a couple of other places. It's a large shadow for something cast by her head.

It was supposed to be a shadow cast by her hat but yeah, the lighting doesn't really ever make perfect sense in my work. I just draw by eye.

this was incredibly fun and cute to watch. i really love the various gags you put in throughout the short, it makes getting to the end all the more enjoyable. i have never seen this particular type of cell shading/ minimalistic animation before, but hope to be seeing a lot more of it in the future.
