i think this is ridiculous ? why not get your own photo's and re-create your own and link back to the original image (that's if it's not copy righted) or at least crop the bottom of if your going to claim it as your, there's some really silly people on here!

That's not always necessarily true. I make cat memes all the time. I'll either be inspires by a friends comment or post on Facebook or just have a random idea for a meme to make.
& most of the photos I find on Google search that a perfect for the meme I have in mind often have the name of the site it's from at the bottom. & I never crop the name of the site out of the photo. Because when I'm looking for the highest resolution photo I can find, I know cropping any part of it will madly lower the resolution of the photo & come out blurred rather than clear.
Granted, I agree this person has no proof they made this photo. But we also have no proof they didn't make it either.
