After an hour of sweeping, Amethyst was busy scrubbing the drawings left by other wynglings off the walls. There was some writing that would not come off no matter how hard Amthyst scrubbed.
"Alma, I can't get these words off!" Amethyst shouted.
Alma walked over to Amethyst saying, "You don't need to yell, sweetie, I can hear you fine." Alma took the rag out of the wyngling's paws and scrubbed at the writing with all her strength. Unfortunately, even her strength was not enough to get it off.
"I'll take care of it later. For now, I think you've earned a cookie." Alma set Amethyst down on a chair with a box cushion for extra elevation. She then set down two chocolate chip cookies and a glass of milk.
Amethyst drooled at the sight of the cookies in front of her, but her attention was taken away when she saw Alma take a seat next to her. She pushed one of the cookies towards Alma.
"Oh, sweetie, you don't need to do that." She pushed the cookie towards Amethyst. But Amethyst pushed it back.
This back and forth lasted for half a minute.
Alma sighed in defeat. "Very well, but I will eat it later." She set the cookie down on the table next to the other one.
Satisfied, Amethyst finally took a bite out of the cookie. She relished in the chocolate chips melting on her tongue and the soft batter leaving a sweet aftertaste.
Alma watched the wyngling take a swig of milk with the cookie still in her mouth, holding the glass with both of her tiny paws. She could not help herself again from smiling at the cuteness.
As Amethyst was enjoying her cookies and milk, she felt something soft land on her head. She looked up to see Alma patting her head.
"How did I end up with such a kind hearted wyngling?" Alma asked Amethyst.
"I don't know," Amethyst responded with a mouth full of cookie.
Alma chuckled a little.
