Description
This is my take on a Caterpie in Alola, and it's evolutions. Caterpie becomes Bug/Ground as does Metapod, Butterfree becomes Bug/Psychic.
Pokedex Entry: Caterpie altered its diet in Alola, instead of plants Caterpie eats Spinaraks and Grubbins to survive. This small bug uses it's tail to wrap around branches and other things and waits for it's prey, it springs forward and grabs it's prey with sharp claws on it's four front pads and injects a venom into it's prey before devouring it alive.
Metapod: After devouring enough food the Caterpie makes a cocoon, becoming metapod, Metapod clings to the bark of a tree and if touchs releases a toxic chemical along its shell as a defense mechanism.
Butterfree: After emerging from it's cocoon, Butterfree snack on pollen and nectar and if need be, cotton products, it is often that the outfits of it's trainers have holes in them from the butterfree, keeping them well fed on other food is a wise idea.
Based off of the Hawiian carniverous catapillar of the E. staurophragma branch.
