Like her identical twin sister Nina, Lena was also a designer baby for her mother Tina. Unlike Nina, Tina didn't shower her with much love because she was the older twin. She stared as Sweetie Pie on the show "What's Cooking the Pies". As her sister's star rose, her star fell until she was dropped by her studio at 15.

Like Nina, Lena attended Muybridge Prep, but once dropped by her studio, she was forced to go to public school. When arriving at Rose Beach High as a freshman, everybody knew who she was but wanted nothing to do with her. She received a lot of stares. Lena had to stay home and live with her hard-partying mother while her sister moved into a mansion by herself. Tina was neglectful of Lena because she thought she could take care of herself. Lena did have a nanny from her childhood named Chappy Chinstrap who was the opposite of her mother in that he was too overprotective. Lena felt trapped with these two parental figures. Her father, King Leon, was divorced from her mother and not in the picture.

Lena had a lot of trouble making friends at public school. She even had a hard time finding a lunch table to eat at until Irina Husky, a student, invited her to sit with her and her friend group at lunch. Still, the rest of Irina's friends still were suspicious of Lena, especially Kesha Hue.

Lena met Deidra Doesly after getting partnered with her for a project. This project was to interview a toon celebrity. They got Rebecca Blacktail. They managed to do the best out of everyone because Lena had access to all the celebrity clubs.
