After years of honing her abilities, Audumn graduated at the age of 21 and returned to her family home in Hartford, Vermont. To her shock, she discovered that her home had long been abandoned. Desperate for answers, she stumbled upon a hidden note behind the bathroom mirror. The note contained only her name and instructions to find the Immortal in Gate City. Following the cryptic message, Audumn flew to Gate City and made her way to the Guardian hall.
There, she met the Immortal, who delivered the devastating news that her parents had died two years earlier. They had been unfortunate victims of a bioweapon incident, caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. It was revealed that her parents had reached out to Amar, a friend from the 70s and a member of the Guardians, asking him to look after Audumn in the event of their death.
