I adore the birds. You even have some of them more blurred to create focus. The pattern on her robe is also interesting.. it's too detailed and 'fine' comparing to the rest of the piece. I think that's a technique widely used to chinese of japanese paintings...

Absolutely amazing. From composition to the extremely well chosen colors, from the haunting facial expression to the poised pose, this is an amazing piece of artwork. I love the gray background, the birds, the incredibly vivid blue contrasting with the black... it's gorgeous.
