Description This is the basic design of the Aelphi Frontlineman... It's a semi-automatic crystal emission system with a very long crystal.
Due to cost restrictions, the crystals in the Frontlinemans are of poorer quality and are often unreliable in accuracy. (crystal emitters never jam, so... at least they have that.)

In general, this weapon is used much like our M-16... it lays into the ranks of the enemy and can be used if you're ever caught on your own.

The power level of the Frontlineman's crystal is a 4-5 destruction rating... To put that in relative terms, the emissions can punch through high carbon steel up to 15 cm thick. This is a medium powered large-arm weapon given to first response teams in full battle situations. They are rarely carried in small group mission because, while they aren't very heavy, the weapon is rather large and unwieldy. Cane, wand and ring-type emitters are preferred when things call for speed and stealth.

The blade can be detached in favor of a larger full blast crystal for heavy infantry or a field crystal to protect snipers (providing they have a better cut main crystal than standard issue). You can also leave all the attachments off for a smaller carrying size.

-a note on the design... This will be far more ornate but it's really just going to be flourishing additions to this basic shape.
Some 19th century rifles are beautifully decorated but they're really mostly just adorned with relief-like designs inlaid on the structure that's standard on most rifles. I wanted to get this out there now so I can feel accomplished. I should have been designing this so long ago... but I always had these crazy ideas that I was crazy about to begin with... but I always grew to hate them.
