I like this, but other than the word insomnia embedded in your piece I fail to see the connection to the event of insomnia. Could you enlighten me?
I'm doing an inquiry on insomnia here on DevArt and will probably make sth. of a huge collab-deviation (with consent of each contributor of course) in the form of an online exhibition framed in a story (which is my forte - not that I'm the very best writer but the first one to come up with an idea like this).
