Her mother, Princess Twilight, was still ruling the kingdom and had not yet retired. Twilight knew that one day, it would be time for Nova to take over the responsibility of controlling the sun and moon. She wanted to prepare Nova for her future role as the ruler of Equestria, so she began talking to her about retiring soon.
"WHAT?!" Nova exclaimed... she wasn't certain about this idea...
When Twilight shared her plans with Nova, the young princess was taken aback. She had always admired her mother's wisdom and grace, but the thought of stepping into her hooves seemed overwhelming. Nova didn't know if she was ready or capable of fulfilling such a significant role.

Feeling lost and unsure, Nova confided in her mother about her fears. Twilight reassured her that it was natural to feel uncertain about the unknown. She promised to guide Nova every step of the way, sharing her knowledge and experiences to help her daughter become the best ruler she could be.
