Personality: Unlike his mother, who was obsessed with being the best, Stormy couldn't care less if he was better at what he does than anypony else. He likes doing what he does for the heck of it. He'll also help a pony who needs the assistance rather than leave them in the dust like his mother would have. All and all, he's the exact opposite of Lightning Dust.
Bio: Storm Shadow's birth was a drunken mistake on his mother's part. When Lightning Dust first found out she was pregnant, she planned on training her foal to live out her dream of being a Wonderbolt. She remembered that two stallions at the bar that night had caught her attention: a retired Wonderbolt and a thestral guard. Lightning was certain that she slept with the pegasus stallion. Her dream was shattered when Stormy was born, proving that she had slept with the thestral instead. Since her thestral son was useless to her, she sought out another pegasus stallion to seduce so she could get her perfect child. Lightning didn't really want Stormy, but she was too proud to just leave him on somepony's doorstep, so he was left with a foalsitter throughout infancy. Three years later, Lightning got what she wanted when her second son, Cloud Breaker, came along. Lightning completely ignored Stormy after that. Now that she had a pegasus foal to raise, she didn't have time to spare for her thestral foal. There were days where Lightning even forgot to feed Stormy since taking care of Cloud was her top priority. To Lightning, nothing else mattered. Eventually, Stormy got sick of being neglected and ran away from home to start a new life for himself. Lightning made it quite clear that she didn't want him, so there was no place for him in Cloudsdale. Stormy decided to try his luck in Ponyville. Everyone was welcome there since it was the Princess of Friendship's hometown. Stormy had to steal bits and food just to get by since he was still a child, but it didn't bother him since he wasn't a stranger to missing meals. Some days he manged to get something scot free. Other days he was either chased down by an angry vendor or had his stolen food paid for by a kind or generous pony who noticed him. Eventually, he was found by Fluttershy and Bulk Biceps and later adopted by the two ponies.
Fun Facts:

- Stormy absolutely hates his birth family. He doesn't know who his father is aside from the fact that he's one of Princess Luna's guards, Lightning Dust didn't love him because he wasn't born a pegasus, and Cloud Breaker's the reason she stopped caring for him altogether. He often fights with his younger brother whenever he visits Ponyville. It never really occured to Stormy that Cloud was the only one in his former family who actually did care about him.

- Stormy has a pet falcon named Kite.

- Stormy is currently in a romantic relationship with his best friend: Moonstone Rune. The two hit it off when they first met since they both know what it's like to have a parent who didn't care. Stormy can bring out the sweet and loving mare Moony is deep down and that's the mare he fell in love with.

- Stormy has a fantastic singing voice. While he has been asked, he has yet to join the Ponytones.
