"Smulis decided that she would try to find someone who was her mirror image, someone who looked just like her. She believed, that when she had found that someone, she would have found her friend that would remain one forever."

A little giraffe, naïve like a young child, descends from her resting place among the clouds in order to find a friend. She begins a quest during which she will learn many things, one thing being that friends do not have to resemble one another in order to get along and appreciate each other's company.

It is a picture which I have a very complicated relationship to. One part of me hates it and another part of me loves it. The truth is somewhere inbetween.
Smulis' appearance changes all the time. One moment she has a big nose and small ears, the next a small nose and big ears. No matter how many times I draw her, I cannot draw her looking exactly the same twice. This picture is more painterly than the others. I both like it and hate it.
Despite my split opinions regarding this picture, my overall feelings are that I like the picture. It will be part of my children's book about Smulis.

I played a little with perspectives and angles on this one, and I am aware of what I did wrong. I took my mistakes into consideration, and draw another picture. That picture became my new favourite, and it will be uploaded soon.
