Selda was pulled from her life in the forest when a young human ranger found her injured among the woods. She was too weak to get up on her feet, so the human took her into his home and nursed her back to a full recovery. It did take some time however, and in the time they began growing used to eachothers company. They eventually had a child, a halfling. They lived quietly in a small village, raising their family. But a day came when an opposing orc horde attacked the village. They slaughtered many and set fire to many of the houses. One of them being Seldas. Her husband and child escaped the burning building, but Selda stayed behind to rescue their live stock. Unfortunately one of the horses was so scared it kicked its hooves, striking her in the head.
When she woke, her vision was gone. Everything was a hazy blackness to her. She struggled to get on her feet but tripped on something, Feeling around the ground, she felt something familiar. She didn't need eyes to see that her family feel victim to the orc onslaught.

Selda is a very motherly character. Being not quite an elder but still old enough in her age, she cares a great deal for those around her. She doesn't let her disability stop her from doing her job. She can serve, pour and clean without any assistance. The rowdy patrons think they can sneak a quick grab at her behind, but she will noticed before their hand even makes contact.
