As the weather begins to cool during the autumn nights, it's common for people to bring out cozier clothing. Thick coats, warm sweaters, and especially comfy slippers, among other items. But this also brings out a certain menace to the area, the Slipper Snatcher.

One night while prowling a quiet neighborhood, he spotted a very enticing sight. He had come upon Hugh, sleeping soundly under a plush quilted duvet. At the edge of the bed sticking out of the blanket, was a pair of inviting feet covered by some furry slippers. The Snatcher couldn't pass this up, he had to add those slippers to his collection.

Sneaking through the open window, the Snatcher quickly made his move. The thick blanket protecting Hugh from the cool night air soon became a binding trap. The Snatcher rolled his victim up tightly, with only his head and feet sticking out. Completely dazed from being to rudely awoken, Hugh was shocked when he finally noticed this sinister figure at the foot of his bed. The Snatcher had a wicked looking grin on his face as he waved Hugh's slipper in the air. But even with his prize in hand, the Snatcher wasn't done tormenting the trapped man just yet. With Hugh's feet now helpless and exposed, the Snatcher reached into his coat and pulled out a long feather. Hugh would spend the rest of the night giggling wildly, and would think twice when leaving his window cracked open at night.
