I believe I have come across at least two bugs and it is in the apod.ini file of the Nasa picture of the day. For one things the RSS feed in the .ini file was pointing to the wrong url, at least where I am at. The wrong url is [link] The feeds of the rss come from this url [link] After opening this widget for the first time the pictures would load, but after a refresh of the widget the feed would stop working from the first url pointed out here. I had to put this url [link] into the feed area of the .ini file to get it working again. The second bug which I am not able to locate is that the widget runs at a higher rate than the rest of the widgets I have currently loaded, when I close this one widget my CPU usage goes way down, when I reload the apod widget for nasa picture of the day and then this one widget eats up CPU usage. I am unsure of what to change in the .ini file to correct this, so for now this one widget is of no use for me right now. Otherwise the other widgets I am using seem to work just fine with little increase in CPU use. Great release by the way another fantastic piece of work.

Haha, wow. I just looked into this bug and found something incredibly stupid. Under [APOD] it says UpdateRate=1, meaning it updates once a milisecond. Absolute epic fail. Remove UpdateRate=1 and CPU usage drops to nothing.

That's funny, we've been discussing whether or not to redesign/fix apod the other day. I'll look into this problem for the next version.

There isn't any explanation necessary. Just read the readme and install. After that you'll figure out what to do with it...

I'm having some issues with enabling "Disable dragging" in my Rainmeter settings (using latest beta). Enabling it causes the panel mouseover color change to become very sluggish (to the point where I can have 5+ panels appear "moused over"). Is there something I can do to fix this?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

fediaFedia In reply to bryolith [2012-03-04 07:47:36 +0000 UTC]

Could be a Rainmeter memory leak, which version are you using? I wouldn't recommend disabling dragging anyway.

I've downloaded Omnimo before and works great.
I've re-downloaded, but now album art doesn't show
for either the 'now playing' panel, nor the 'now playing' text.
It worked for me before, so is this just my problem?

Thanks for your work on a great Rainmeter theme!

First of all: Great customization pack! *thumbs up*

However, the facebook feed shows a weird behaviour since a couple of days. It reads "" on every line. I tried to substitute it ("":"") in the [MeasureItem1], but it removed it from the first line only.
Cf. screenshot: [link]
Any ideas?

Worked for me great

aLpHatheONE In reply to aLpHatheONE [2012-03-03 14:55:52 +0000 UTC]

Of course it only removed it from the first line since it was only MeasureItem1 (my fault).

The following workaround removed all unwanted characters:
Under every MeasureItem ([MeasureItem1], [MeasureItem2],...) I inserted the following line:
Substitute="& quot;":'"',"& apos;":"'","& amp;":"&","":""
(remove space after "&")

It replaces apostrophes, quotation marks, ampersands and removes the CDATA stuff.

like that?

[Variables]
@include=#currentpath#UserVariables.inc
@include4=#SKINSPATH#\WP7\Common\color\color.inc
SubstituteFeed="":""

Unfortunately it didn't work...

FuzzleMint In reply to ??? [2012-02-29 23:00:06 +0000 UTC]

It's a great program but I removed it because of a stupid, underhanded and manipulative act that disrespects a portion of its users. When you look into internet shorcuts, it lists several news sources but has fox news as "FoxNewsLOL" with a sabotaged link. It's free but will not get my support or donations.
