It’s a Windows Phone 7 inspired multifunctional interactive desktop information center based on rainmeter. This suite will turn your desktop into a productive and attractive workarea , delivering only the information you need. Every interactive tile gives you information at a glance, and can be easily customized to your needs. Unlike the initial Metro design, Omnimo gives you limitless customization potential, you can customize just about every aspect of it!

Setup.exe - an automatic installer
Omnimo.rmskin - self extracting installation file for rainmeter containing the suite
Extras (VS, Wallpaper)
—HOW TO INSTALL———————————————————————————————
Make sure you have Rainmeter 3.0 or higher installed, then just double click the Setup.rmskin file, the extraction might take a minute or two, after that you'll be guided by the Intro.

Personally, I like to make good use of the desktop regardless if it's a 3rd party tool or not. To me the standard desktop is just bland and I never use it. I take advantage of Omnimo though since it actually makes me more productive and is a far better solution than Metro and the standard desktop

I still prefer minimalistic solution, numerous services disables, tweaked gpedit and registry, also task scheduler tweaks.
Then all window effects disabled (or most of them at least), then all desktop icons hidden, only taskbar has pinned icons, start button/tray is disabled.

I really can't understand why Microsoft made that move, but it was a dumb one.
They need to put it back in Apple's trash can where they got it from
