Personality: Raised as the matriarch of the Tengu Clan within the Demon Realm, Rakshasa is ruthless and authoritarian. She believes her race to be superior to all demons and that those beneath her are nothing more than ants that bow to her. She is also competitive, finding people like the Demon Kings to be potential threats, and will take any precautions to eliminate her possible future obstacles to achieve absolute rule.

Her biggest flaw is her arrogance and pride, which tend to get the best of her.

Furthermore, Rakasha believes only the strongest demon male would be worthy to be her Chaos King (PRIMAL’s equivalent to a Dark King/Master of the Demon Realm).

As ruthless as Rakshasa is, she is loyal to her immediate family, willing to be her husband’s, the previous Chaos King, and her son, Janemba’s weapon of choice by transforming into a dimension-splitting blade known as The Claw of Rakshasa. She does not tolerate mockery or disrespect towards her family in any way and will resort to immediate annihilation.

Her greatest ambition is for her son to enact vengeance on her and her late husband’s behalf against the Kai who opposed the Chaos King’s rule and for Janemba to take claim over the planet that the current Supreme King has taken a liking to after murdering his precious disciple.

Powers & Abilities: Rakshasa can imbue her fingertips with Evil Godly ki and tear open portals between dimensions. She can channel this energy in her lungs and fire an unholy sonic shockwave at her opponents. This can also punch holes between dimensions. Being a Tengu, Rakshasa has millions of years of combat experience as a warrior princess and is a goddess in her expertise. She can easily predict her opponent’s movements and find weaknesses in fighting styles that she hasn’t before through similar practices she’s seen and counter them. With the flap of her wings, Rakshasa could cause devastating typhoons that can sweep across landmasses with ease. Her weapon of choice is her feet. Specifically, her razor-sharp talons are capable of cutting through Katchin steel while her feet are capable of crushing demon skulls as if they were fruit. Unique to her people, Rakshasa gained a unique ability to transform into a living weapon with the ability to grant the user her powers while in possession of her.

Bio: Rakshasa is the Queen of the demon Tengu clan, the widow to the former Chaos King, Mara, and the mother of Janemba, the Incarnation of Evil and rising Chaos King.

Much isn’t known about her past but it was stated in legend that her existence predates the birth of the current Supreme Kai of Time, Chronoa, and rose to power within the Demon Realm through her cunning mind, indomitable fighting spirit, and ruthlessness. She ended up being wedded to Mara, the former Chaos King, after partaking in a ceremonial tournament where she crushed through any and all of the potential suitresses that stood in her way to absolute power.

As an ultimate display of yielding to her king, Rakshasa used her inherited shapeshifting powers and transformed them into her clan’s greatest weapon, the Dimension Sword for the Chaos King to use in battle. To honor both his wife and her clan, he renamed the form “The Claw of Rakshasa”. Being paired with her husband, the two were labeled as a terrible power couple, their iron grip on the realm being uncontested as they ruled through fear for ages.

After learning of her husband’s ambitions to one day overthrow the Omni King, Zeno, Rakshasa eagerly offered her wisdom by advising Mara to slay all of the Kais within their beloved Sacred Realm in their universe while simultaneously wiping out the current Hakaishin, or the God of Destruction.

This led to the war between Mara and the Kais. Rakshasa transformed into her sword form, elated to slay the Kai for her king and their plans for universal conquest. Majin Buu (Super Buu w/ Western Supreme Kai absorbed), who was taken in as the Grand Supreme Kai’s disciple, had fought alongside his new master, the Eastern Supreme Kai (Shin) and Kibito in order to stop the ambitions of Mara and preserve the order of the multiverse. Seeing the Grand Supreme Kai and himself were in a deadlock while clashing Rakshasa against the Kai’s Zenith Sword (Z-Sword), the Chaos King decided to target Majin Buu and attempted to take the magical being’s chaotic power for himself. However, the Grand Supreme Kai saw this and used his own divine power to seal Buu within the Zenith Sword for his protection before sending the weapon away with Kibito and Shin, who was named the new singular Supreme Kai.

The battle concluded with the Grand Supreme Kai using up the rest of his own Godly ki and lifeforce in a single attack, the Enlightening God Sphere (Keimō Shin Kyū, the fan-made name for Super Buu’s Destructive Grenade), dealing a fatal blow to the Chaos King. But before Mara’s death, Mara spoke an omen of returning to another life within another time and promised to enact his revenge upon the Kais and the universe for denying him his ambition. As for Rakshasa, she was stuck in her sword form via a binding enchantment placed by Beerus after Kibito and Shin gave the sword to the Hakaishin and his angel attendant, Whis. After that, Rakshasa was brought to Dabura, a newly assigned Demon King, and was tasked alongside his sister, Towa, to hide the sentient blade within their castle to prevent the Chaos Queen from returning

However, Rakshasa would be set from one day, not by the Chaos King, but by his living legacy and reincarnation who would call her “mother”. Seeing that it was not her husband, but his evil incarnated with her eyes, Rakshasa claimed the being as her and Mara’s son and christened the being’s name “Janemba”, the Chaos King Reborn. She would join Janemba and act as a motherly figure and an advisor to the rising evil conqueror so that he would be successful in his parents’ ambition and destroy all that opposed them.

- Her name comes from Hindu mythology

- Rakshasa and her clan are based on three mythological beasts, the Greek harpies, the Celtic banshee, and the Japanese Yokai tengu.

- Character design: Her eyes and hair were modeled after Manba from Dragon Ball GT 100 Years Later. Her bodily traits and characteristics like feathers and talons are modeled after Harpie Lady (Harpie’s Lady) from the Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters Series but with human hands. Rakshasa’s body shape and color pallet are also inspired by Elemental Hero Burst Lady (Burstinatrix) from Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters GX Series. Rakshasa’s clothing, skin tone, and facial features are inspired by the female Gerudo warriors from the Legend of Zelda series. Particularly, Urbosa from the Breath of the Wild.

- Rakshasa only respects those stronger than her that believe in her worldview. Hence she only lavishes her love to her husband and her son.

- Her love and vulnerability, to Rakshasa, is a privilege to those she deems trustworthy and anybody else with such sides is seen as a liability to her and her empire.

- Much like Mara, Rakshasa sees Zeno as a petulant child with no right to the throne he sits on and finds it appalling that the angels and the Grand Preist would ever bow to such an immature and insolent being.
