i feel that this was inspired by another artist's work. i forget the name of the artist, but i see his work at the renaissance festival every year and i'm always tempted to buy. Is this so or do great minds just think alike afterall?

wow, I love the use of color on this one, though in terms of composition my eye keeps getting stock on the blank space between the wing and the red drapery. The mood of the painting is fantastic and it matches the sorrow expression of the character. Good job!

This is gorgeous beyond words. I love the contrast of light and dark. The eerie feel of the hand reaching out of the water... It makes me wonder what is happening in the picture... is the angel helping the creature or letting it go? I also think that the splash of red from the cape is a very nice touch as well!
I would love to see a sort of mirror of this from the dark side (I hope that makes sense), to see that dark being.

Oh, this is gorgeous! I love the detail in the wings and the smooth texture in the cloth.
