Description
Well, after attempting to paint the Wind Rain Ring from Eternal Ring, I decided... I needed a lot of practice.
Today I worked on jewels, starting with a tutorial for painting realistic-looking jewels on models [link] , then moving to a different tutorial for just painting them [link] .
I ended up preferring the technique suggested by the second tutorial - only the two left-most jewels were painted using the model-painting tutorial, mostly due to the differences between the paint used on models and the kind of brush I'm trying to get accustomed to here.

The first four jewels used a lighter green palette, whilst the next two used colours much closer to that of the Wind Rain ring. The final 'jewel' was something else entirely.
