Description Gates to Infinity was the first PMD game I ever played, and even though it has its flaws, it still has a special place in my heart. I first became obsessed with the PMD games when I watched the two animated trailers for Gates. They were so wholesome and endearing that I just became absolutely obsessed with the series. I just loved the idea of turning into a Pokemon and saving a world full of talking Pokemon.

In 2015, when I first discovered that Super was coming out, it was still just a logo and a bit of speculation, but I searched pretty much everyday for new information on the game until at last, it came out. And somewhere between 2015 and 2019, I bought a copy of Explorers of Sky, which was old and didn’t work all the time on my 3DS, but it was better than nothing.

Of course, between 2015 and now, I didn’t keep in much touch with the series (since, of course, there were no new games), mostly just making really cringy stories with the school kids from Super. But when Rescue Team DX came out, I got hooked again, but only a bit. And now I’m having a bit of a nostalgia rush for it.

Honestly, the songs that really bring back all the memories are the opening theme and the Theme of Hope. Gates’ music just feels so… soft and assuring, like everything’s going to be okay.

TL;DR, good lord I’m feeling super nostalgic for pokemon mystery dungeon

PMD belongs to Nintendo and Chunsoft
