Description Lastly I was thinking about my shading technique and how well it looks on a picture. In my previous pictures I used a shading from a book about realistic drawing. But I'm also a programmer and I read in the Net about different shading used in 3D apps. So I drew this picture to compare those two techniques:

A) This is my old technique: first I divide the picture into areas where light reaches and where it does not. Then I reduce contrast of the entire image, but I do it in a way that those parts being closer to the camera have the right amount of contrast, and those fairer from the camera having dimmed contrast. This is "values technique".

B) This is the computer way of shading, and it is very simple technique: it comes down to darkening areas depending on how its normal vector turns away from the camera vector. In layman's terms it means if some plane is more and more turned away from the camera, it becomes darker.

So, this is the comparison, and I want to ask YOU which of the two images has a better appeal to the eye ☺.
