Description
In a land of ancient wonder, where the giants once roamed,A lonely dinosaur stood, his heart filled with doom.
He looked up at the sky, and saw the meteor's glow,
A harbinger of end, his fate now to know.
His scales were dull and gray, his eyes were dim,
The weight of the world oppressed him, like a shroud within.
He thought of all he'd lost, of all he'd never find,
The memories of joy, now nothing but a distant mind.
The meteor drew near, its path unchanging,
The dinosaur's fate, a sorrowful refrain.
He knew he could not escape, could not outrun,
The end that came for all, the end that had begun.
But as he gazed upon the sky, a change came over him,
A sense of peace, a stilling of the whirlwind.
He felt the weight of life, the burden of his years,
Slowly lift, like a mist that disappears.
He closed his eyes, and let the end come near,
The meteor's light, a gentle, loving glow.
He felt the world fade, and his spirit soar,
In a final moment, he was at peace, no more.
The meteor struck, and all was lost,
But in that moment, the dinosaur found his cost.
He found the peace that comes, when all is said and done,
In the end, he was at peace, his journey won.
