Was her retaliating a reference to when Cardin bullied her by tugging her ears in "Jaundice"? in the episode, she was meek and timid, but in Chibi, she doesn't take it!
Also, I heard that bunnies don't mind ears grabbed, as it's how rabbits hold their bunnies, or something. Being a bunny-girl makes Velvet instantly cute!
