Description
Both are characters from kids cartoons that aired on rival networks (Cartoon Network; Nickelodeon) who get into comedic and whacky adventures with their neighbors/"friends" (Billy and Grim; Spongebob and Patrick).
Both are bitter, sassy and brash in general & also express physically and through words that they hate their "friends" but have a softer side towards them.
Both usually keep a level-head & are there to comedically point out the ridiculous of the situations they and the other protagonist get into in their adventures.
Both have a running gag about their lifelong dream they've always wanted to succeed at that they usually will never achieve but sometimes have lived out (Mandy wants to conquer the world with a iron fist; Squidward wants to be a famous clarinet player).
Both have a rival that's petty towards them that have a name similar to theirs (Mindy; Squilliam Fancyson).
While Squidward gets bullied by everyone & everything he knows in life Mandy bullies everyone & everything she knows in her life, basically abused vs. abuser.
Ngl this is interchangable with Eustace for my preferred for Squidward
