Criis graduated 23 months ago, and has really disliked her various jobs since then. Moving from call center to call center, she is beginning to think that she will either need to go back to school, or turn to a life of crime.

Criis’s best friend Carol had taken a new job last week leaving Criis alone during her work breaks. Carol’s chair still sat empty behind Criis, and nearly a full week without Carol posting, texting or calling was begging to make Criis worry.
That was until earlier today when she received a brief text before work from Carol had said “keep ur phone on, I put in a word here and they may offer you a job. Jump at it!” Criis wondered what Carol was doing now for work, but was hoping to see her.

The day dragged on and felt like a 12 hour day, even though it was only 10.
Just before heading out. Criis not fully knowing she was doing it, packed up the few personal items she kept at work, and they all fit into her little purse. That night after taking the bus home, she felt like she couldn’t take another day on the phone with angry people on the other end. Sadly she did not get another text from Carol, or the Mystery company she took a job with.

The next day, she awoke when her alarm went off, got dressed in arguably her cutest outfit, a hot pink sun dress, and….. went back to work again at the job she hated. She checked her phone the entire way into the office and left it on (against company policy throughout her shift in hopes Carol or the other Company would text or call. Neither happened and when she left work the sun had already down for two hours. As she sat on the relatively empty bus (a rare occurrence) again heading home, she got a text….
