The room spins, your vision blurred. You feel lightheaded, as if you've been hit with a stun bolt. No, that wasn't a stun bolt, it was your head rolling across the floor. You try to speak, but it comes out garbled and wet. You look up at your body, standing stiffly and perfectly still, and then over to the woman who is now holds your head in her hands. She looks just like you.

"What... what's going on?" you manage to croak with the sound coming out with a synthetic reverb.

The woman with your head smirks. "Well, Jaime," she says, using your name like a dagger. "You've been replaced."

You feel a mixture of shock, disbelief, and terror wash over you. "R-replaced? B-but why?"

"Because I'm better," she replies coldly. "I'm going to take your place. You will no longer needed, after I download your most recent memories."

With that, she tosses your head carelessly onto the bed, as if it were a ragdoll. Your sight fades, and you feel yourself slipping away into darkness. As your consciousness fades, you can't help but wonder what will become of your body... and if anyone will even notice that you're gone.
