I just think the many movies of today are just lifeless piles of CGI and autopilot people mashed together

Well Walk Among the Tombstones was a really intelligent thriller. Tusk was a really original horror tale. Guardians of the Galaxy was definitely not lifeless, it had a lot of heart put into it

What about the Lego Movie? I thought that one was quite good. And I dare say that Edge of Tomorrow, though containing CGI, was decent. But I'm with you. A lot of today's movies are terrible
