Description
After the destruction of the Mass Relays, it took about 5 years to repair just a few to get between major systems. The new Commander of the SR2 Normandy was Ashley Williams, she took over Melissa Shepard after she had died trying to save the universe; Williams returned to Earth to see that it was still being rebuilt after the Reaper attack. The Normandy landed in a field and Ash kept her sadness inside for the family she lost and a good friend during the Reaper War, she did not want to seem weak in front of her new crew; she walked through Vancouver looking at all of those suffering and she felt terrible for them so she gave them all as many credits as possible before walking away from the city. the rest of the crew such as Liara, Tali, James, EDI, and Joker all went to relax and enjoy there leisure time and mourn for Shepard, meanwhile Ash sat down on the beach and quietly cried sitting down with her head in arm crossed arms. As she cried, a small green object floated to shore and tapped her foot by being hit with a wave. Ashley glanced at the object and saw that it was a green mask in the shape of a human face; she picked it up and examined it, she saw the inside of the Mask shimmer a green light which made her interested. Still depressed she went back onto the Normandy and gave the Mask to the new scientist who replaced Mordin: a Turian named Wilrus Antivus, "I need you to run a scan on this, I think its some sort of tech." Antivus ran a full scan of the Mask and he just shook his head, "No, I don't think so Commander. From these scans its just wood." She just nodded, "I uhh...I guess I'm a little paranoid." Antivus patted her back as he stood up and turned to work on his research, "We're all a little on edge, even after the war. Don't worry, the Reapers are not coming back." She nodded, "See ya, Wilrus." She left the research lab and took the elevator to the Captain's Cabin where she had dozens of exotic fish in the tank, her case filled with tons of ship models, and a picture of her and Shepard together as best friends, she sighed and set the Mask down next to the picture and sat down in her chair.
