Adjust=>brightness and contrast=>brightness/contrast. I think I had about 15 for contrast for this one (brightness isn't much use)
For lineart, curves is good, although it can be very trial-and-error-y, and not a good idea for pencil stuff.
And fixative. That helps

Hm... A lot of it does depend on how messy your paper was when it went in. This one I'd been careful to keep it neat, which probably made a difference...
