I don't normally do visual art, but I'm kind of proud how this turned out. It's a photograph I took in our backyard of a sword and some jewelry that I played around with my phone image settings for. I like it, so I thought I'd share it.

I made it for a story contest that I stumbled across in a story phone up. However, as I'm a bit of an internet wallflower and the contest is judged on how many friends like your story, there's no chance of me winning. But it was fun to write in that I got outside my comfort zone. I've never written young adult romance before or in the second person before. So, at least it was good for practicing something new.

In the event that anybody is interested in the story, I wrote it for the Chapters story app. The first chapter can be read in a browser, Courted Chapter 1 , but it makes you download the app for the rest (which sucks because the story isn't all that easy to find). To locate the story in the app, you need to go to the community option (middle choice of bottom menu icons, looks like a tilted diamond shape in circle) and search for Courted.

Anyways, I made the photo for the cover, because it was a requirement and thought I'd post it somewhere people might actually see it, since it's one of the only pieces of visual art for me that isn't a dud.
