The crowd seemed restless the last fight had pasted quickly and as they waited for the arena to change and be cleared, Buddy found himself nervous, hoping she was in the crowd, this would prove the point, he is going to be better than his brothers, he heard a rumbling from the crowd, a deep almost heavy roar found buddy wanting to back away from the tunnel in front. Shaking his head he did what he could to focus, not let his mind frighten him, stepping forward into the light he found himself in a dark green arena, a smell of decaying plants rose from murky dark green water, reeds stand still in silence, not a drop of wind to be found. Buddy looked round the area, was his opponent not out yet? A massive thud forced him to turn on the spot, a large red kukuri with bat like wings had landed behind him hiding his exit. Buddy found the larger Kukuri overwhelming, he did his best to keep him in sight, the swampy grounds made him slip and slide, the water mixed with mud clung to his coat, his feet refused to go where he thought they would, after a close lunge he found himself squaring Varion, trying to take advantage of the slower competitor he rushed forward, his claws digging in as hard as he can, this failed. A root from one of the dead gnarled trees , caught his toes, he felt his ankle twist, avoiding a yelp of pain, he lost his balance slipping onto his back as he tried to ignore his foot, he slide straight into the jaws of his opponent who, took advantage, clamping down on one of his legs, Buddy felt pain ripe through him as the false dragon dragged him across the ground, lifting Buddy form the march he swung his head quickly tossing Buddy into the air, he let out a pained cry as he felt a massive pang of searing hot pain, barely catching sight of his leg bending at an angle never supposed to be achieved. Varion let go, letting the grey Kukuri crash to the ground sliding to a stop just at the wall of the arena, Buddy felt dizzy, automatically trying to get to his feet, he found himself frustrated as his body refused to stand, any weight on his right leg left him dropping into the murky water, growling he looked over to his opponent, where they waiting to see if he could not continue?
