Yes, yes, she knew to chew out a werewolf that she barely knew wasn’t smart, she didn’t know their temperament. They could just fly off the handle and try to attack her, but they looked a bit too exhausted for that.

Eventually, her annoyance gave way to wariness. Now that she had a good look at this other Wolf and had a good whiff of his scent. It didn’t ring familiar to her, not once has she come across him.

Her eyes narrowed, “Just who are you anyways…?”

The stranger’s tone causes his fur to bristle, and his lip pulls back over his teeth in a half-snarl. “I got out of the way, didn’t I?” he snaps back with a withering look, immediately defensive. This packwolf had a lot of nerve lecturing him, even if he had been particularly stupid to wander out on the road like he did. But he wasn’t about to admit that to someone he just met. “It’s not like I was looking to get shot at. That guy had shit aim, anyway. The worst I might’ve gotten was a graze.”

Honestly, didn’t this Wolf know anything about her own kind? Even if he’d gotten shot, he would have just healed after a while, so long as the bullet didn’t get him in the head. Werewolves were resilient. The dark wolf huffs and looks away, scowling when the stranger asked who he was. “Nobody important,” he grits out evasively, mostly focusing on staying upright.
