I'll admit I have a soft spot for Sailor Moon. besides Ghibli films, Sailor Moon was the first anime I watched. (but ironically was not the thing that got me interested in the whole genre.) I had seen it before it entered North American television. The only way I could get a hold of the series was in a Chinese video rental store and watch dubbed in Cantonese on giant lazer discs.

I definitely like this! The poses are cute, the BG is simple and fun. If I could give CC, something about Chibimoon's mouth is distracting me. When I enlarge it on DA, I just see her mouth somewhat open. Is her tounge sticking out? I think she would look cuter having a fuller open mouth like Sailor Moon. Still great though

Are you going to have prints of this at AE? Cause my Sephiroth buddeh is a Sailor Moon Fanatic.... He has a Sailor Moon Costume that he wears quite often~. I think he is bringing it this year for Idol XD

Ahahahaha! It was very similar with me, too! I watched it in Mandarin, though, on old video cassettes from the chinese rental store (along with Doraemon and Crayon Shin Chan cartoons

The Cantonese dubbing was pretty good. It was at least better than the English version which was decent until they decided to switch voice actors for Usagi (AKA Serina's) voice.
