"First thing I remember is the kind one. He picks me up and he’s big. He makes the monsters disappear and I’d be safe."

One day after The Great Con Junction (the Dark Crystal convention I attended last month), I got a big surprise ! A commission request by Timothy Clarke himself ! He worked on the movie, mainly on the Mystics because he sculpted their heads. He asked me to draw one of them and I immediately chose UrSu, Jen's master because he is my favorite Mystic from the movie. Tim's work on his face is fantastic ! Those wrinkles, spirals and those wise, tired and sorrowful eyes, all of that was a delight to draw ! He is also beautifully performed by Brian Meehl. His death was very emotional, even when I watched it as a kid.

And of course, baby Jen ! The scene I chose is rarely drawn, and appeared very briefly in the dreamfast scene between Jen and Kira. UrSu saves that poor Gelfling orphan in the ruins of his house. Will we see that moment in Age of Resistance ?
