I figured now that I have some G8 figures, it's time to take another look at iRay. Skin came out fine right away but clothing materials took some effort to get right.

This took just 15 minutes (as a comparison, I think this would have taken 1-2 hours on Luxrender with much more noise)! My favorite part is that this scene is entirely lit from the light tower - no extra lamps needed and very little noise to boot.

I think iRay and G8 are starting to grow on me. Only (minor) gripe I have right now is I can't seem to adjust the lighting on the fly like I can with Luxrender, but I'll live.
