Description Here is the typical fighting type of my region: Pocaldera!!
So this is the final form of my early game Fighting type. The main twist is that it is also a fire type. It's magma fist ability gives it a 10% chance to burn the opponent when it contacts them with a physical move.
This guy took a LONG time to sketch, draw, color, etc. I'm not kidding when I said that every phase of this guy took a long time to do.

As for Pocaldera's origins, it's based on a few things. First off, it's based off of the legend of Popocatepetl and Iztaccihuatl: which is a legend based off of two of the biggest mountains in Mexico. Essentially, the warrior Popocatepetl became devastated after finding his fiance dead when he returned from war. Izta turned into a mountain known colloquially as "La Mujer Dormida" or "The Sleeping Woman", while Popo turned into the volcano that stands next to her.

As for visual inspiration, Pocaldera is inspired by Parasitic Cones, which are small volcanoes that form around the main volcanic cones. When Pocaldera sits down, it leans back on its arms which support it, and its rocky "wings" come together to form the cross section of a volcano. With fiery earrings and smoke-like feathers, Pocaldera looks like a small volcano from behind. Since Pocaldera often form circles around Volcanoes to absorb their heat and energy, it ends up looking like a ring of parasitic cones.
Lastly, some of my visual motifs were inspired by the Jesus Helguera painting portraying the very same Popo and Izta legend: "Grandeza Azteca".

Although I'm not "in love" with the pose, I'm ecstatic with how this turned out. I hope you enjoy it!
