You were lying in his arms, the battle had finished a long while ago but you were still in the field, pure white covering everything, you couldn’t feel your legs and your arms started to get numb, life was flowing slowly out through your abdomen, you could barely see and even though it was hard to focus you did recognized those chocolate eyes.

-(Y/N)… (Y/N)… please… -You could feel some warm drops landing in your face, he looking down at you, his hands gripping you tight against his body, trying to give you warmth, trying so desperately to save you but you knew it was pointless, it was time.

-Don’t cry… my love… -You whimpered as one of your hands reached out for his cheek, he kissed it with such delicateness as if you were made of glass it didn’t even bother him that you stained him with your blood. –I don’t want… to remember you like… this… -tears started to roll down from the corner of your eyes; you could feel death getting closer.

-Do you believe in reincarnation? –You looked at him concerned but then smirked, your eyelids started to get heavier and heavier, you couldn’t feel the hand he was holding anymore.

-Do you believe? – He echoed the question his voice firm and clam, you were trying to process the words but it started to get harder to understand and compose sentences, words fought for order in your brain but you finally spoke.

-I… I believe… -you smiled inevitably, you weren’t sure of the meaning but it was the only thing that crossed your mind in that moment, the screech in your ears started increase with every second, you didn’t feel the warmth of Ezio anymore, you weren’t sure if he was actually there.

Your eyelids tightened before lazily blink open, the White ceiling of your room was the first in saying good morning to you, you looked around and saw that it was still dark, your hand roamed through the mattress and under the covers to find your cell phone, the light of the screen made your eyes burn and as you closed and opened them again you could visualize the hour 3:09 am, fantastic, you never get to sleep after the dream, no matter how hard you tried.

This man had been haunting your dreams like a ghost, it showed up almost every night this week and no matter how hard you tried to dream about something else the dream always played like a movie, nothing was distorted or changed, everything happened always in the same order, anyone would say that is actually a memory but you had never seen the man before or even died yet, you took your time to mentalize and with true pain you stood up the bed groaning in agony, with clumsy steps you made to the bath and began to take a shower, class started until 10 so you could easily go with (F/N) to take breakfast to your favorite restaurant.

-I’m telling you (F/N) this man doesn’t stop appearing, it started to get annoying. –You exclaimed and drank some of your coffee, it tasted bitter, that always helped you to scare away the slumber, you grinned as it passed through your throat.

-but… ok so he kills you? –(F/N) moved her hands hesitantly as she spoke, she always gets confused every time you told her about the dream, there was a painful grin in her face, maybe she was doing too much effort on understanding.

-No, another thing does, he only holds me, and then starts asking… that… -you thought about saying it but it was too absurd. –and then he says something in a weird language, I don’t really know. –You continued talking, losing yourself in the thought.

-Mmmm… would you describe him again? – She asked concerned resting his head in one of her hands while with the other took the sandwich she was eating and bit it. You rolled your eyes. –what? Maybe your subconscious is using the face of someone you know, look the brain sometimes…

-sometimes takes elements from reality and transform them, I know you tell me that all the time. –you cut her and started saying this with a sarcastic voice, almost singing it; she was studying psychology so she always took every chance she could to show her knowledge of the matter. –But I have told you, I don’t know the man, really I wouldn’t forget someone like him.–you sighed and slurped your coffee again, (F/N) chew a little with her lips and took a bit of her sandwich.

-Yeah yeah, he was like a prince, Brown eyes, charming smile and you said that he even was wearing like an armor right? –she said while chewing the food trying not to spit it by covering her mouth.

-Yeah and the scar on his lips. –you pointed at your mouth and traced an imaginary line over it in vertical direction. –It freaks me out because I’ve been having other dreams with him… -you stopped when noticed the dumb grin in your friend’s face. –not those kind of dreams I’m not you. –you mocked while rolling your eyes.

-Hey I’m not a perv… all the time-she stared at you and then burst into laughter you accompanied her after a few seconds.–but anyway what else can you tell me about your mysterious man? Do you remember his name? - She continued and drank from her juice; you hummed trying to think about something relevant to say.

-I think I said it, it was something with E but I don’t have it very clear… -You said as you frowned and then another Idea came up. -oh! And he was wearing a hood! -you said shaking a bit your head your friend looked at you with an are-you-serious? Face –I was freaking dying! I didn’t even remember the place we were in. –you half shouted trying to justify yourself.

-Ok Ok, don’t scold me I have enough with my mother, thanks. –she sighed and lifted her hands in surrender, you leaned back in you chair again, you had moved forward without even noticing. You checked your phone and it was half past nine.

-Shit –you swore. –it’s late, let’s go or Mr. Miller will lecture us. –you mocked and stood up; your friend ate the rest of her sandwich from one bite and then followed you.

Both barely made it in time just when you arrived the bell was ringing, you sat on your respective chair and waited until everybody sat, you and (F/N) talked a Little before the class started, she was telling you about the problems she had with her boyfriend and that maybe he was cheating on her, you still wondered why she was with that dick.

-come on everybody sit down! –the professor entered and went straight to his desk as everyone sat with disgusted and devil-may-care faces. He looked to the door and moved his head as an invitation. –come on Mr. or are you going to miss the class? – your heart froze when you saw him enter, it was a guy from your age, Brown hair, skin and eyes but when you saw the scar on his lip you couldn’t help but think about him, Ezio, he said he would find you but being realistic, for one reincarnation was basically impossible and two, this had to be a very mere coincidence, that’s it, just fate making a joke to you. –Let me introduce you to Mr. Ezio Auditore. –You felt as if someone just punched you in the guts, well shit, this was crossing the limits, how from all the people on earth someone had to be called just like the man from your dreams? -Please take a sit Mr. –the teacher moved his hand towards one of the chairs at the other side of the room and went to the board, you were completely stunned with whatever the fuck just happened your head was resting in between your hands as you asked yourself why were you still breathing, (F/N) looked at you surprised and excited, she moved her lips as saying “is him?” exaggerating the action a little too much.

-No it’s not. –you scolded her and turned again to look at him, it was impossible, maybe he could look like him and also be named like him but which were the possibilities that he even knew you? You only have seen him in your dreams and usually dreams were only remembered by the person that dreamed them and no the way round.

The class elapsed silently as always, the guys only made noise when the teacher went out, everyone was fascinated with him, the girls didn’t waste time and asked for his number, the boys tried to make chat and asked him about sports, you could swear that sometimes he was looking in your direction but again could be only your imagination, you in the other hand did looked at him from time to time just to see every time that he was real and he was still there, this wasn’t a dream. You were staring at him when the bell rang making you jump.

-Hey dude you ok? – (F/N) talked to you while keeping her things in her bag.

-Yeah yeah I’m fine just… - you didn’t finish the sentence and started to collect your things, caught you right in the act.

-anyway, better hurry next class is biology and it’s at the other side of the campus. – (F/N) said and then took off, you were trying to keep everything as quickly as possible, you could still hear some girls talking but in seconds their voices disappeared.

-Shit. –You said as one of your notebooks feel onto the floor, you could hear footsteps but you were so concentrated in hurry yourself that they didn’t get your attention, just to make things a little worse those footsteps were Ezio’s and not only that, he and you were the only ones in the room.

-I found you. –A deep voice filled your ears, it was the same as your dreams but this time it wasn’t breaking. You stood up from the floor slowly looking him in the eye.

-E… Excuse me? –you mumbled, your heart was pounding like crazy, it was him, it was that man, a Little bit younger but there was no doubt it was him, his eyes looked older than his face.

-It’s me (Y/N) Ezio, I found you at last. –you could feel him embracing you; you stayed there, completely shock, thinking only one thing, that maybe... just maybe it could be him.
