Actually, I think more of them as miniature horse who can be the size of a dog and even cats in case of dwarf. I think Pipqueak is a case of dwarfism

Well, they are training them as guides for the blinds and other persons with disabilities. They have many advantages over dogs: live longer, calmer, smart, good memory and strong. And they can be home trained.
