I agree, though, they were lucky they came away with only sprains and bruises in the show. Slash was quite the foe, and you have portrayed him very well! So scary!

i think he was even more of a villain than shredder in that episode cuz raph had a huge bond with slash when he was still a pet. he was the little tortoise raph would run to to spill his feelings and thoughts
so when spike mutated he didn't only hurt everyone physically but also hurt raph emotionally
it's a really sad episode for me ;(

I know! It was especially hard for Raph because at first Slash appealed to his frustrations, telling him he was better than his brothers, that they were holding him back. But then when he attacked his brothers, Raph saw how far that thinking could take him and it scared him. Poor Raph! His closest confidant turned on him in the end! But it opened his eyes to how much he really cared for his brothers. This was the first episode I ever saw, and I think it's a really great one, though sad.

it was also sad at the end when raph knew he lost someone close to him and thought there wasn't anyone there to listen to him anymore. but at the end with a little nudge from splinter he finally realised and accepted that his brothers have and will always be there for him and love him just as much even if they have their own way of showing it
