I've had almost 3 or 4 people tell me that already. They ARE both Disney.

This character reminds of of the Bad Apple Star Wars Fans who HATE James Cameron's Avatar all because it overtook Star Wars in both the box office and space genre alike. One example of an anti-Avatar Star Wars Fan is a Radith87 on YouTube who made two videos about the Death Star destroying Pandora; one a redux of the first, to punish Avatar.

I saw this movie yesterday. Me and my brother spat our drinks out when we saw that King Candy was Turbo. We both had a little "HOLY SHIT!" moment. Thankfully it was a night showing, so there were only around 10 other people in the theater. Some of them (we later found out) also were shocked at that as well.
If you listen closely, you can hear me falling in love with yet another villain.

Villains always stand out to me more. Turbo is very unique in terms of a Disney villian (in my opinion). For one, his revel in the climax was something I'm sure no one saw coming (unless they paid close attention in the flashback, and actually remembered it at the time). Plus his overall appearance is just simple and cool. Personality wise, he's psychotic, but with a semi-sad backstory. Plus his final form creeped me the hell out 0.0

I agree! When Felix told Turbo's story, I thought nothing of it afterwards. I thought Turbo had died when his game was unplugged, and just left it at that. I had no idea he had a much bigger role. And, yes! He was definantly the evilest animated villian I've seen yet. When he said "Oh, your little friend! Lets watch her die together, shall we?" I was convinced he was a trully sadistic villian. Cute, but he had a mindset full of jealousy and envy.

I'm taking my friend this weekend to see it. I've managed to keep him completely spoiler-free. I can't wait to see his reaction
Turbo is definitely on my list of Favortie Disney Villian. He's sadistic, pyschotic, a bit charming, and has humor (at least as King Candy) has a cool, yet almost sad when you think about it backstory, has a crazy plot twist reveal, and he was only on screen in his true form for about what? Ten minutes(?) and people have love for the little guy.

Knowing Tumblr, it shouldn't take long for everyone to start posting good GIFs/pictures of EVERY CHARACTER! (Trust me I lived through the The Lorax)
Right now i can only find pictures of him in 8-bit on the Internet. I think they're waiting a while before they post more for the sake of spoilers

Video game references were awesome.
Fix it Felix Jr is clearly a reference to Donkey Kong Classic
Hero's duty a reference to all first person shooter games especially Halo.
Sugar Rush likely a tribute to super Mario kart and Ridge racer. (both came out at that time, but I don't think they had those kind of graphics. I would love to see actually a game like sugar rush made. Most likely Disney will try that one out)
Turbo Racer most likely is Pole Position for the Atari. (Is there even an older racing video game out there?; ) Maybe Outrun?

Arghhh... Wikipedia's redirecting the link to turbochargers now.
The answer was: Yes, there is an older racing game. That game's name: Turbo. It was made by Sega and was very popular back in the day. There was no "Turbo" character in the game, but it was a very cool 8-bit driving game.
There were even older racing games, like Night Driver, that were popular before Turbo... but Turbo was far better than any of the games that had come before.

Turbo creeped me out a bit. BUT I STILL LOVED HIM! He is now one of my favourite villains ever!
And as King Candy, he reminded of The Mad Hatter. So I loved King Candy, too. But Turbo and King Candy are the same person! XD
And I loved that bug-like form. SO COOL! And he was so evil, making Ralph watch his best friend, Vanellope, A CHILD, get killed (almost) by those horrible bugs! So evil, I love it! XD
Anyway, this is a great drawing.

XD Whoa, okay there. Those are just a few reasons why I myself love Turbo. He is just such a cool character! And he kind of have two personalities: the goofy and cheerful King Candy, and the greedy and horribley evil Turbo. Although they are both the same person with the same brain, they are so different that I would have never been able to guess that King Candy was Turbo!
I guess that is another reason why I love him.

I agree! Ever since I saw the movie, I imagine scenes that had King Candy in them, but imagine them if Turbo wasn't disguised, and I think, "Wow! His personality is so different from how he looks." But then I think King Candy's cheery and bubbly personality could also have been part of the act.

Of course the goofy personality was but an act. Which says that Turbo is a great actor! XD

If it was an act, he must be a really good actor! I find myself giggling when I imagine him acting in his real form how he acted as King Candy.

XD Yeah.
I found it kind of sad when King Candy died. I really liked King Candy just as King Candy. If he was just him and not Turbo, I would still love him, because he was bubbley, goofy, made bad puns or play on words, and was just really cheerful, and it made me smile. Of course it was cool to make him a bad guy, but it made me sad to see him go! XD
But I never saw that coming... I mean, King Candy actually being Turbo. My brain exploded when they revealed that!

Me too! I totally agree. xD When I first saw the trailers, the first thing I said to my sister was "The little guy that reminds me of the Mad Hatter is already my favorite, I call dibs!" And it turns out...xD He still is. Sorta. Turbo is my favorite, but he's Turbo, so yes.

KING CANDY AND TURBO ARE ONE! You can't like one without liking the other, they are the same person, just two totally different personalities! XD
One of my favourite quotes from King Candy is "You wouldn't hit a guy with glasses, would you? *Ralph hits him over the head with the glasses* Hit a guy... with glasses. Well played!"
King Candy wearing those huge glasses was pretty funny!

I know! They are the same, but so different! Although, I don't think Turbo had enough screen time to be himself, so there wasn't any clarification on whether his personality differed all that much from his King Candy personality. Some of his lines after he was revealed to be Turbo were pretty much the same, like when he was fighting Ralph and, I don't remember the beginning of the line, but he says "But it'd be much more fun to kill you!" with a little laugh. So, I guess we won't really know until it comes out on DVD and we can analyse it more.
Like the crazed fans we are.

When Wreck-It Ralph comes out on DVD, I'll be freaking out and trying to get people to buy it for me! XD
And I agree. Turbo didn't get enough time to be himself, show what he was actually like. But I suppose he would be a darker, greedier and power hungry version of King Candy.

I just came back from watching it again, and I recorded the whole movie's audio. xD "Turbotastic" ringtone? I think so! I love this movie way too much. And, I did notice, you hardly saw Turbo's face, and when you did, it was for like a second when his face glitched from King Candy's. He made some good expressions, though, and I agree! xD When I get it on DVD, i'll be watching it over and over.

Awww, I want to see it again! I actually might see it again this weekend. I'll probably be keeping a closer eye on Turbo when he comes up. And I would definatly get a "Turbotastic" ringtone if I had a cell phone! XD Either that or the ever so annoying, yet catchy, theme for Sugar Rush, which happens to be Japanese.
I want to do some Turbo fanart, so if I do get to see the movie I'll make sure I remember some of his facial expressions so I can draw some good ones!

That's awesome! I tried to do the same thing, but his face is never shown for very long, it's very difficult, but since I have the audio, I can listen to all Turbo's lines, and it's surprisingly easier to draw him while listening to them because I can more easily remember the faces he makes when he says them. It's hard to explain, but it's easier. C:

Yes, sometimes just audio will help me, too. Do you think you could upload some of that audio to youtube? You don't have to, but it might help me draw Turbo, or even get some better ideas for drawings of other characters. I normally pick a quote or some diologue from movies or TV shows to base the picture off of.
