The shapechange spell requires research!I like to think that Keyleth studies every night before bed what spells she's gonna use the next day. I dunno how I came up with this, but I find it hilarious thinking that she'd sculpt a miniature and paint it to learn what the monsters look like. The book is titled "Monsters of Exandria" and I assume it's the book she bought from Gilmore to learn what monster bits are harvestable.
The Beholder is a legit Rage of Demons miniature. I'm pretty sure it's the one that they actually use in Critical Role.
