Some peeps asked for Bluestar to be drawn on my previous speedpaint, so I drew her :'D It's nice just to draw a Warriors character by themselves, especially Bluestar. I really loved her character, even more after reading her special edition. When you know all about a character's back story, you just feel so much closer to them ya know? You guys must all know about that as well!
Because of that I wanted to present her in a majestic, graceful way, like I always saw her.
Yeahhh I went a bit insane with the leaf brush. But it's... So nice :'D

on gimp, how do you fill in the main color in the character without having to color it in? I'm pretty sure you have to like select the outline, but I don't know what to do from there.

I like the "overuse" of the leafbrush! It gives the picture a forest-y feel, or like the leaves are a part of her pelt as she moves silently through the brush...I'm going to deep aren't I?

I find that being an author opens you up to things people don't normally see. The little details that can help every bit in any short story or novel!
For example:
The she-cat made not a sound has her velvet paws padded along the forest grass. Soon she would have her prey. The mouse didn't even notice her as her blue-gray pelt became one with she shadows of the forest, the brush and leaves the same color of her pelt as the mouse scuffled in the dirt.
Then, she pounced.
Or something like that...Just not as sketchy!
