Hey, Finchwing.
Ich have a question.
Can I upload pics which have the same motive as some of yours?
I recreated some of your pictures and kinda took them as a model for my pics.
I mean, I would mention you under the pic.

And yeah, I know, but for me, a beginner in drawing, it's a great exercise to become better in drawing.Ā
But I also try to do own stuff and creating own ideas.

a good exercise is to copy from life and become comfortable with breaking forms down into shapes and shiz

Yeah, that's definitely true.
And I'm working on that. ^-^
But some pictures are so insprriing to me, and have such great motives that I want to try them too. ^-^
I mean, not all what I draw is copied, but some motives I just want to try myself. :3

..I don't think that she, or really anyone would allow that. That's like taking their drawing they worked hard on. Why not try and do something different? Don't get me wrong, Finchys lineart and shading is so beautiful, but I wouldn't copy that or the subjects directly because that's more like an insult to her and me. Try to create something unique, maybe a cat standing on its head or falling over. There are many possibilities out there, why not try them?

I mean, I would mention that the original pic is from them, and I only took inspiration from that and kinda recreated it, so I think it's totally fine.Ā
I don't copy the lines or anything, but recreating pictures is for me a fantastic exercise to become better in drawing.
And I only ask, if I could upload these ''exercises''.
I could also upload them without aksing and say 'It's a fanart'. But I won't to.Ā
So I ask and think it's not completly unrealistic to get a permission. ^^

Good for you! I think the same way, it's just that people are kinda touchy about that stuff. I feel like that's the best way to create your own style, to experience others. High-five for same thinking!
