Peri is strapped down to an operating table. A wedge of gauze is forced into her mouth and an orange cloth is tied over it to hold in the packing. Later, her mind is erased so her body can be used for the Mentor leader Kiv, killing Peri in the process. Though, due to Time Lord intervention, at least four different versions of Peri survived.
