i always wanted to try this kind of shot. i build myself some kind of table top. i will show you a making of. sorry for the shadows! hope u like

thx to everybody commenting and for all the helpful critique, this will really help me.
it is a pity i broke my self-made studio yesterday so i need to wait some time to buy a new pvc.
maybe i will load up some color-version of it today. hop you will like as well.

the shadows aren't a problem, them don't distract the viewer from the amazing subjects.

yes that is right, it also comes from the lights in my room that were reflected. i should buy good lights and build some kind of softbox. i tried also without flash, but the result was not so good.

what is -too think-? yeah you are right about the shadows, but my cam is not very good so it is hard to get a better result.

Only a poor work man blames his tools. Im using a 5.1 mp compact camera and i have no where to go with it. The only thing is to push its limits. You can archieve by manipulating the shadows or erasing or lighten them up. Think about it

mine is also a digital compact with 7.2.i have already work a lot on ps with the picture. but i did not want to turn it into a full digital manipulation- i manipulate some shadows, light up here, darken there. but not too much. the photo must be good enough, so you dont need to change too much. i work on the photo about 6 hours in all, and i guess the way to more perfection is a SLR and good lights. and i will have one and try again.

intresting shot i like the red on white did you just do a red version i think a very dark blue would have worked quite well too, as you know the red is passionate colour but this reminds me of blood an violance, a dark blue version would have made me think poision or deseate, unless iv read this picture completely wrong, any way keep experimanting, you clearly have nice ideas
